Demand has been HIGH and we are very happy to introduce the option to ride Route 66 on a Harley Davidson.
Route 66 Tours is excited to introduce our fantastic Motorcycle Guide, Daniel Azzopardi, to the team, and the option to tour The Mother Road on a Motorcycle. Daniel has Route 66 experience and is passionate about taking you along the Mother Road. He is a Harley Davidson fan and loves a good road trip.
Your tour will be run in conjunction with the Convertible Mustangs and the group dynamic will simply blow your mind. What this means is we are all at the same hotels together each night but each day the cars follow the cars guide and the bikes follow Daniel our experienced motorcycle guide.
Remember that this is a self ride independent group tour and you are free to head on down the road alone, with mates or new friends. We supply you with the tools and knowledge to get out on the open road and discover the real USA on Route 66. However Daniel, as your motorcycle guide, is available to show the way to ensure you see the very best that this classic highway has to offer. Route 66 can be very tricky to find in places and we want you to see the very best, maximising your Route 66 experience.

The real America does begin at the off ramp and we focus on riding the real Route 66. Many other tours just touch on the towns and drive the Interstate System. That is just a rip-off and we believe that the Interstate is just a tool to be used only when absolutely necessary. Come and see Route 66 in all its classic glory. Allow us to show you parts of the Mother Road rarely ever driven let alone seen by tourists.
The bikes will be supported by a van to handle your luggage, backup fuel and to carry a spare motorcycle in the rare event that we have mechanical problems with a bike. All the bikes come with 24/7 backup from our suppliers as well as full insurance.
NOTE: You must be min. 21 years old and hold a valid unrestricted motorcycle licence.
2010 Price AUD $9,385 per person- For 2 riders travelling together
Each person rides a bike and the 2 of you share a hotel room.
2010 Price AUD $7,995 per person - For 1 rider and 1 pillion travelling together
You travel on 1 bike together and the 2 of you share a hotel room.
2010 Price AUD $11,785 - For 1 rider travelling solo
You ride a bike and have a hotel room to yourself.
The Motorcycles
All of the bikes come with 24 hour road side assistance. Each of our bikes is the current year or late model and are equipped with sissy bars (excluding our Electra Glides they have tour packs), windshields, and luggage racks. We will provide up to two helmets with each bike. Please note that the 2011 Rental Fleet is yet to be confirmed but we will offer a selection of makes & models.
